DECLARATION TO DEFEND FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS IN ETHIOPIA IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM

They are often forced to make that choice by arrogant tyrants who use brute force to entrench and perpetuate their dictatorial rule, and unabashedly proclaim to the world their contempt for the rule of law, democratic principles and civil liberties.(More...)

ETP - The government of Ethiopia, after jailing and banishing members of the country’s free press, has now set its eyes on foreign journalists. Today the Ministry of Foreign affairs issued a warning, yes a WARNING, to the Washington post and in particular to Stephanie Mccrummen (name spelled wrong on the govt's website), ordering that they refrain from “tainting the good name of Ethiopia”.

Stephanie is the latest in a growing list of reputable foreign journalists that are blacklisted by the Ethiopian government. Zero tolerance for criticism is the administration’s motto; so it is surrounding itself with nitwit apologists in journalist's clothing - whose job it is to enthusiastically applaud every time the Prime Minister opens his mouth. With no help from anyone else, the EPRDF is doing a great job of making itself look sillier by the day.
